The Neighborhood Scoop

Finding the perfect home starts with finding the perfect neighborhood...and Northern Virginia has many of them! Moving to the Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. area can be overwhelming but that is where I come in. My job is to help you find the perfect neighborhood and home for your family. Feeling good about the community you live in can be just as important as selecting the right home. As a local resident who has lived in Northern Virginia for over 20 years, I can help you find a neighborhood that best suits your needs. From local restaurants and activities to school information and market trends, I am well versed in all of our unique and vibrant communities. Read on to explore the communities I serve below.

Alexandria, Virginia

Nestled in Northern Virginia, next to the Potomac River and south of Washington D.C., Alexandria offers the perfect blend of big-city amenities, small-town charm and picture-perfect natural surroundings.

Neighborhoods of Alexandria include: Del Ray, Fort Hunt, Mount Vernon, Potomac Yard, Rose Hill, and Seminary Hill.

Alexandria, VA
Arlington, VA

Arlington, VA

Just across the Potomac River from Washington D.C. lies the county of Arlington, a place famous for its active lifestyle and young, hip population.

Although it can feel expansive, the city is actually quite easy to navigate as it is separated into distinct neighborhoods, each with their own flavor and unique things to do in Arlington.

Springfield, VA

If you are looking for a more suburban lifestyle, better bang for your buck and a slightly longer commute, Springfield VA may be the best neighborhood for your family. Springfield is west of Alexandria and is filled with charming neighborhoods and great public schools; school highlights include West Springfield High School's strong athletic program and a German immersion program at Orange Hunt Elementary School.

Washington, DC

Washington, DC

The many names it is called, including "Washington, D.C.," "Washington," "The District," or simply "DC" is big city living, at a premium price.  If you want to be in the mecca of urban living, then D.C. is your ticket to the show.

Neighborhoods of D.C. include: Adams Morgan, Capitol Hill, Downtown, Dupont Circle, Foggy Bottom/West End, Georgetown, Logan Circle, Woodley Park.

Market Reports

In addition to learning about local restaurants, schools, and activities by neighborhood, it is important to understand market trends for the neighborhood you want to invest in. I provide market reports for each community by home type. I encourage you to view these market reports. On each neighborhood page, select a home type under the 'Market Reports' section.

History

For my history aficionados, below are several articles highlighting local history within our vibrant communities. If are interested in an in-person history tour, ask me about a fellow (and wonderful) mil spouse who offers historical tours of D.C. and Northern VA. She is a certified professional tour guide and comes highly recommended by all who have taken a tour.
